ABOUT THE SCHOOL/DEPARTMENT

Edgewater Elementary School is a wonderful Title I school in the Jefferson Area that serves more than 400 students from preschool through sixth grade in Jefferson County. Our staff embraces collaboration, data driven instruction, and the implementation of research based practices to meet the individual academic and social-emotional needs of our students. We have structures in place for Weekly Professional Learning Communities and Long Term Planning. We offer job embedded professional development through coaching and mentorship.

We love and value our families and community members; many of whom are highly engaged through PTA, School Accountability Committee, Parent University and our volunteer program. We have active partnerships with both Edgewater Collective and Edgewater City Council, as well as several local businesses.
