   License and Certification Qualifications: Valid Georgia teaching certification required.

Education Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in related field required. Master's degree in related field preferred.

Experience Qualifications: Three years of experience teaching in a K-12 environment required. Experience in delivering professional learning opportunities, leading professional learning teams, and assessment development preferred.

Skills Qualifications: Ability to organize and complete multiple tasks/projects concurrently; ability to create and deliver professional learning that supports the direction of the assessment program and that supports the vision, mission, and goals of the district; strong communication skills, both in oral and written format; strong technology skills, including the Lotus Notes Database and Microsoft Office Suite programs; knowledge of Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) Academic Knowledge and Skills (AKS) and GCPS policies; knowledge of techniques for integrating curriculum and assessment, knowledge of research-based strategies on assessment development; ability to work successfully with colleagues; ability to project and generate a positive attitude; and ability to effect change.

Primary Responsibilities: Support, develop, and coach teachers and leaders on assessment literacy and common assessment development

1. Design and deliver professional learning on assessment literacy including, but not limited to, identifying learning targets and analyzing standards, universal design, sensitivity and bias, blueprint creation, and data analysis.
a. Provide professional learning opportunities by modeling and facilitating the development of common assessments with teachers and school leaders.
b. Provide assessment audits and conduct reviews for local school common assessments,
c. Support and facilitate professional learning for the Assessment Leadership Team provided by the Office of Assessment.
d. Work collaboratively with school content area coaches and specialists to provide professional learning and support on the alignment of curriculum, assessment, and instruction.
e. Work collaboratively with school content area coaches and specialists to provide professional learning on the development of formative assessments.
f. Work collaboratively with the Office of Assessment to create assessment training modules for local school use.
g. Work with teachers on flagged item reviews for district assessments.
h. Provide professional learning on reviewing common and district assessment data.

2. Demonstrate content knowledge and professional growth.
a. Engage in continual learning to deepen knowledge in assessment development.
b. Develop and improve knowledge on research-based practices in assessment development through attending conferences, publications, and collegial networks. 3. Perform other Title II A duties as assigned.

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit for extended periods of time. The employee is also required to talk, hear, stand, and walk.
