We are recruiting creative, compassionate, caring professionals eager to help our students excel academically and achieve post-secondary success. We are currently accepting applications for a Certified Long-Term Substitute Art Teacher at our Phoenix Academy for the 2019 school year. This position will be a short to long-term substitute position for an employee who is out on leave.
Students range from grades 6-12, and are supported by a team of professionals that include credentialed teachers and behavior management professionals. The focus of this program will be to keep students on track to graduate and to successfully transition them back to their regular campus to achieve success.
Our Art Teachers are responsible for designing and providing instruction in accordance with curriculum planning and timing guidelines. Teachers also conduct frequent and appropriate assessments to determine student understanding. They work closely with other instructional staff, support staff and administration with a focus on producing favorable academic outcomes and a positive school climate.

Experience and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- Current Pennsylvania Teaching Certificate
- One year experience working with at-risk youth preferred
- Proven ability and working knowledge with Microsoft software applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong interpersonal skills and supervisory skills preferred
