Reports to: Principal
Purpose: Provides remedial instruction to students who need additional instruction.
Qualifications:
Physical and Emotional Requirements: Speaking, hearing, visual, reading, writing, word processing, mobility, consistency of temperament, ability to problem solve and work in stress providing environments.
Performance Responsibilities:
Terms of Employment: 9 months; salary and work year to be determined by the Board of Education.
Evaluation: Performance of this position will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board policy on evaluation of Certified Personnel.
Significant associations: The performance responsibilities are not limited to those outlined in this description and may include any other responsibilities as assigned by the administrator/supervisor.

Qualifications:
- Meet requirements of a Kansas Teaching License
- Knowledge of the Common Core Standards, intervention strategies, assessments, and intervention resources
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, school personnel, and parents
- ESOL endorsement preferred

Performance Responsibilities:
- Prepare and deliver targeted instruction in a small group, individual, and/or classroom setting
- Deliver and use assessment results to diagnose areas of deficit and make instructional decisions that address students' weaknesses
- Use research-based strategies that meet students' learning needs and support core instruction
- Coordinate planning and communicate students' performance with teachers, instructional coach, principal and curriculum coordinator
- Use district-approved instructional resources, which includes both primary and supplemental resources
- Monitor and maintain accurate records for reporting student progress to teachers and parents
- Assist in the assigning and scheduling of students
