Additional Job Information: Minimum Qualifications: Master's degree from an accredited college or university in Counseling and State of Fl. School Counselor certification or eligibility for Fl. State certification.
Knowledge/Skills Preferred: Knowledge of federal, state and local laws, rules, policies and procedures related to Career and Technical Adult Education. Working with diverse cultures and populations. Assessing students attributes and aligning them with appropriate educational programs. Advising students on academic and/or career plans. Providing customer service. Using Focus and other related software applications to gather information and student data. Communicating and interacting with administrators, coworkers, students, advisory board members, and other community members to sufficiently convey information about Pinellas Technical College. Knowledge of resources used in career development and exploration. Knowledge of community resources as related to adult education and students with disabilities.. Understanding the role of adult technical education as related to workforce trends, economic development and overall community well being.
