Description
The Director, Academic Services, collaborates with national, regional and school level teams in leading the development, implementation, and execution of operational, tactical and strategic plans designed to achieve K12's mission, vision and framework for academic excellence.

• Provide strategic leadership by initiating innovative ideas, conceptualizing complexity, discovering alternative approaches, solutions or methods, and challenging current processes, practices and strategy;
• Directs operational, tactical and strategic planning and collaboration with school leaders in the development and improvement of The Academic Excellence Framework, policies and systems to meet both short and long-term goals;
• Accountable for managing strong internal partnerships across departments or work groups, and building strategic relationships to advance systems, programming and processes that improve the student experience and outcomes;
• Serve as an academic consultant to K12 school leaders with a focus on building instructional leadership capa
city by providing a balance of direction and autonomy through ongoing reviews, program development and strategic action planning;
• Analyze effectiveness of academic programs and supervise the attainment of high levels of student achievement through ongoing measurement and evaluation of program outcomes;
• Conduct and evaluate data conferences and academic school reviews with national, regional and school level leadership to ensure data is being used to drive academic decisions and improve instructional practices;
• Accountable for refining the academic program design to improve student achievement by developing and monitoring school improvement plans;
• In collaboration with national, regional and school-based teams, facilitate training and mentorship of new academic administrators, as well as facilitate professional development opportunities for school leaders to collaborate with other K12 school leaders to effectively execute the Academic Excellence Framework and other K12 initiatives;

• Actively participates in all leadership team meetings;
• Acts as a liaison between school level, regional and corporate staff to determine immediate needs, issues, and support for the individual schools.
Requirements • Master's degree in Education or similar field of study AND
• Ten (10) years of related experience in Educational Leadership as a HOS, principal, school leader, school administration or related position OR
• Equivalent combination of education and experience

Certificates and Licenses: Education Administration Licensure and/or Educational Leadership training desired

OTHER REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to travel 25% of time
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, Excel; Web proficiency.
• Ability to pass required background check
