QUALIFICATIONS
Training: A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in accounting
or equivalent preferred.
Certification: CPA preferred; not required.
Experience: A minimum of experience of 5 years in a management position in a governmental or public school environment, corporate, industrial or audit environment with experiences in accounting, auditing, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting and presentation and financing. Prior experience utilizing integrated database financial applications. Experience with USAS coding and financial software implementations required.

- Supervise the accounting operations for all funding activities including receipts, disbursements, accounting, and external reporting to the Board and any local, state, or federal agency.
- Supervise Student Activity operations including accounting, reporting, and controlling Student Activity and Trust Fund accounts, reviewing and processing of VISA and travel reimbursement requests, training cashiers, and assisting Accounting, Budget & Reporting members.
- Prepares Complex journal entries related to non-routing financial transactions
- Supports audit and external review activities as directed
- Supports budget preparation & implementation as directed
- Communicate information on accounting policy and procedures to parents, community groups, schools and staff.
- Conduct in-service training on accounting and financial matters.
- Oversee preparation and maintenance of formal written departmental procedures.
- Supervises assigned staff
- Participate in recruitment, training and appraisal of departmental personnel.
- Perform other tasks as assigned
