Description

This position is 0.80 FTE Math and 0.20 FTE 1-1 Student Tech Apprenticeship Instructor and a regular contract.

• Valid Wisconsin teaching certificate in the subject area of employment (Math).

JOB SUMMARY:

The High School Technology Instructor will provide technology-related guidance and support for students taking part in a youth apprenticeship in support of staff and student laptop computers. They will plan collaboratively the integration of technology with the Director of Technology, high school level tech support teacher(s), instructors, staff and students, and provide support at the high school.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:
• Bachelor's degree in Education with minimum grade point of 2.75 on a 4.0 grading system in degree course work.
• Valid Wisconsin certification in secondary teaching.
• Demonstrated success in classroom teaching.
• Technology related experience.
• Ability to develop positive constructive relations with students, staff, and public.

Primary Functions:
• Coordinate the student-run 1-1 technology support center at the building level
• Assist in the development and implementation of a digital citizenship curriculum
• Oversees the remediation of hardware and software issues
• Coordinates the preview of curriculum-related software
• Serves as initial contact for computer problems and troubleshoots on-site hardware and software problems
• Serves as liaison with district technology support staff and site(s)
• Directs and supports student technology assistants

ASSOCIATED FUNCTIONS:

Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Technology Services.
