Regular Substitute (RS) position
Dates of assignment: Approx. Mid September 2019 through June 26, 2020

CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENT:
Valid NYS Teaching Certification in ESOL/ENL
CORE CHARACTERISTICS:

• Experience teaching elementary, preferably grades K-4;
• experience with the implementation of the Common Core standards, NYSE ELA and Math Modules, and instructional strategies;
• experience implementing Common Core aligned units, lessons, and assessments;
• effective classroom management skills;
• demonstrated knowledge of curriculum, including planning, execution, and evaluation of materials, supplies, and lessons;
• strong math and literacy background;
• character traits necessary to teach young children - enthusiasm, warmth, and dedication;
• ability to differentiate instruction;
• strong communication and teaming skills;
• technology skills;
• lifelong learner.
