The Senior Manager, School Compliance & Operations, provides oversight to all compliance and operational related tasks, reports, State FTE Reporting, and State requirements for the school. This position focuses on enrollment compliancy, State funding targets, attendance compliance, and ensures overall school efficacy as it relates to State and federal compliance, charter and State laws and board policies.   • Manages and oversees all aspects of school operations and compliance activities at all levels, internal and external to the K12 organization.
  • Develops and manages relationships with partner districts, State and other education stakeholders;
  • Oversees and helps maintain student records and data; creates/implements/documents processes that ensure student data validity in K12 and 3rd party databases;
  • Acts as point-of-contact and manages reporting issues including all local, K12, State , and federal reporting requirements;
  • Works with administrative staff to ensure the school is in compliance with and meets all audit requirements;
  • Develops strategic business plan and best practices to capture maximum funding while adhering to State laws;
  • Monitors internal review submissions and ensures deficiencies and errors are corrected;
  • Supports annual review audits and ensures corrective actions plans are implemented and completed;
  • Provides strong internal control mechanisms for weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual oversight of input and output necessary to meet compliance for their respective State and each district
  • Develops an expertise in State charter laws and requirements, as well as local school board policies and requirements.
    Supervisory Responsibilities Under the guidance of the Head of School, this position directly supervises 1-10 Full-time Equivalent (FTE) regular employees and/or contractors. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

  • Provides support and guidance to Financial Analyst/Accounting with Finance related items and reporting;
  • Works with the HOS and regional team to determine needs for the school.
  • Conduct research pertaining to State compliancy requirements.

If selected, you will participate in a comprehensive new teacher training program for three weeks before the start of school. It is an opportunity to meet colleagues and learn the responsibilities required for delivering curriculum in an online environment. Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree AND
  • Four (4) years of successful operational experience and compliance oversight in a school environment OR
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience
Other Required Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of State funding and reporting requirements
  • Experience in project management
  • Effective communication, presentation, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
  • Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, etc.); Web proficiency.
  • Ability to travel 25% of the time
  • Ability to pass required background check
