This position is a candidate pool and not a specific position at a school or department. This position may require an initial screening interview before being placed into the Candidate Pool. There may not be an available position(s) at the time of application but positions can become available at any time. The candidate pool is used to refer qualified applicants to the site/department with the open position. Homebound Teachers
  • The purpose of Homebound Instructional Service teachers is to provide ill or injured learners, K-12, with as normalized an educational experience as possible in order to maintain academic progress and to facilitate a successful transition back to school as quickly as possible.
  • Homebound Tutors assist the student in turning in all assignments tothe classroom teachers for credit.
  • Teachers are assigned to work with students in grades 1-12 one hour per daily student absence and will be paid at the hourly flat rate of $28 per hour (ARTICLE VII.,Section U.,Subd. 15).

A valid Minnesota teaching license is required.
