GENERAL SUMMARY
Provides primary support to the Human Resources Department. Works with the HR Administrators and the HR Analysts in support of all HR functions, projects, district initiatives, HR projects and HR goals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Processes new hires, transfers, salary changes, resignations and retirements to several different bargaining units within the MUNIS system.
Assists with the verification of applicants and staff to ensure certification and licensure are valid. Assists with documentation, tracking and reporting of such.
Updates education levels from original transcripts into MUNIS system
Gathers and reviews Loan Forgiveness forms that have been submitted by employees. Assists with the documentation, tracking and reporting of Loan Forgiveness forms.
Reviews and assists with processing new hire or termination paperwork for all employees
Schedules and meets with new hires to review and submit their paperwork to the Human Resources Analyst
Functions include, mailing, filing and scanning for new hires, transfers, changes, salary changes, resignations and retirements
Contacts employees to report for hiring sessions, meets with them to verify accuracy and completion of paperwork and processes relevant documentation
Answers questions and distributes forms to the appropriate departments such as payroll, benefits and retirement.
Performs administrative duties which includes answering phone, scanning, performing word processing, operating office machines and technology and organizing and maintaining files.
Access or exposure to confidential information
Performs related duties of a similar nature and level as assigned.
MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
Associate's degree in Business, Administration, Human Resources, or related field. Minimum 1-2 years' experience, including experience in office setting handling confidential and sensitive information.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES
Knowledge of contracts
Knowledge of new hire forms
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, high demand educational environment with time-sensitive deadlines.
Ability to use (or learn to use) computer software and systems applicable to the position
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
Ability to exercise good judgment and focus on detail as required by the job
Ability to establish and maintain constructive and cooperative interpersonal relationships with staff, peers, supervisors, or managers in the work unit and other departments, as well as with staff of outside entities and other individuals, as applicable to the essential duties and responsibilities

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, a negligible amount of force frequently, and/or or constantly having to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT
This position requires employee be in an office or similar indoor environment. Employee may be exposed to individuals who are rude or irate.
