2nd Grade Chinese Immersion Teacher

Baltimore International Academy, a K-8 public charter school in northeast Baltimore City, is looking for a full-time 2nd Grade teacher for its Chinese Immersion program. 

The candidate must possess a valid teaching certificate in the State of Maryland or be eligible for one.  A background in Elementary Education and experience with International Baccalaureate (IB) is strongly preferred.  The candidate must be able to work legally in the United States; BIA does not sponsor visas.  The candidate must either be a native Chinese speaker, or have native-level Chinese skills.  Students are taught all core academic subjects (math, science, social studies, and Chinese language arts) entirely in Chinese.  The use of English is not permitted in the classroom.  Qualified candidates should respond with their cover letter and resume.  To learn more about BIA, visit www.baltimoreinternationalacademy.org.
