Supervise the daily activities of youths, providing ongoing support, guidance, and role modeling. Facilitate youth improvement in the areas of personal responsibility, social skills, community livings skills, and behavior. Reports to the Program Manager.

Supervise the daily activities of youths, providing ongoing support, guidance, and role modeling. Facilitate youth improvement in the areas of personal responsibility, social skills, community livings skills, and behavior. Reports to the Program Manager.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Spend at least 80 percent of working hours in personal contact with youths
- Serve as key staff member for youths assigned, assuring supervision and accountability for them at all times
- Participate in planning and implementation of daily activity schedule and daily routine as assigned by Shift Supervisor
- Assist and participate in staff meetings
- Provide ongoing support, guidance and role modeling for youths
- Participate in and facilitate program groups when appropriate
- Provide individual, informal counseling to youths to discuss interpersonal issues, treatment issues and develop goals and plans to address concerns
- Prepare summaries of interactions and objective behavioral observations of youths at the end of shift
- Participate in staff training as required and successfully pass proficiency test(s), where appropriate
- Transport youths to and from appointments, as necessary
- Perform physical intervention in the event of a youth crisis
- Perform all duties in accordance with the Grafton's policies and procedures
- Other duties as assigned
- Must be 21 years of age
- A Bachelor's degree in human services; an Associate's degree and 3 months experience working with children; or be a high school graduate or have a G.E.D. and 6 months experience working with children
- Superior interpersonal skills and ability to function in team atmosphere
- Good communication skills
- Must hold a valid driver's license
- Must pass criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening
