Early Years Teacher - Brasilia, Brazil - August 2019

One of the leading international schools in Brazil is seeking a well-qualified and experienced UK curriculum trained and/or experienced Early Years Foundation Stage Teacher to join them in mid-August 2019. The successful candidate will demonstrate a dynamic and creative approach to teaching, have experience of teaching Foundations Stage students, and have the necessary skills and vision to enhance teaching and learning within the department. Candidates should also illustrate a capacity to help students achieve their absolute best as part of a team and a willingness to contribute to the thriving extra-curricular life of the school.

The school offers a contemporary British international education to students in Early Years and Primary School. All applicants must possess a degree (usually a 3-4 year course at a noted UK University) coupled with a specialised and relevant Educational/Teaching diploma issued by a reputable institution (usually one year post graduate qualification). Alternatively, teachers take a specialised four-year teaching degree, leading to Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) qualification. Early Years Teachers must hold a diploma of Early Childhood studies (usually two years).

Candidates must also be either UK-trained or have relevant UK curriculum experience, enjoy a professionally-stimulating environment, promote a well organised and inspiring learning environment, offer enthusiasm and demonstrate a positive approach to students, be comfortable integrating technology into all teaching practices, be committed to constant improvement in all aspects of school life, be reflective and continually strives to improve performance and understand the value of consistent application of school policies.
