The Director, Board and Partner Relations position plays a key role in supporting leadership team members to identify, cultivate and manage relationships with key board members, partners and stakeholders. This role ensures cohesiveness between the company's practices and boards/partners to maintain a positive and transparent bond. AS Director, Board and Partner Relations, YOU WILL..

  • Identifies and develops the appropriate metrics and measures to determine the organization's success;
  • Determines best practices and provides resources to support the board and school working environment;
  • Supports the efforts of the organization in implementing strategic initiatives between the board/partners and the school;
  • Represents the organization when necessary and appropriate;
  • Supports RVPs and Heads of School (HoS) in their roles as leaders and ensures interactions with board members remain constructive, transparent, and collaborative;
  • Assists to refine and improve the interactions between board members/partners and leaders;
  • Ability to identify and support leaders during times of turmoil;
  • Supports the orientation of new board members and onboarding into the online school governance structure;
  • Promotes a culture of high performance and continuous improvement that values learning, highly effective interpersonal skills and a commitment to quality;
  • Demonstrates an understanding of and supports K12's mission, vision, value State ments, standards, policies and procedures, operating instructions, confidentiality standards, and the code of ethical behavior;
  • Skills to develop and manage events, communication, documents, trackers, etc. in support of positive board/partner relationships;
  • Assists in the recruitment of board members at the request of boards to support the school's mission.
    Supervisory Responsibilities: Supervisory Responsibilities: Directly supervises 2 - 4 Full-time Equivalent (FTE) regular employees and/or contractors. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Requirements
Minimum Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Business or a closely related field of study AND
  • Eight (8) years of experience in school leadership roles in education or related field OR
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience.
Other Required Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated success with board or similar third-party relationships
  • Understanding of the relationship between the company, school, board, and authorizers
  • Exceptional management and communication skills including planning and directing capabilities
  • Strong problem analysis and resolution skills - both strategically and functionally
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to attract, develop and influence
  • Ability to travel approximately 50% of the time
  • Ability to pass required background check
Desired Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Business or Education
