Position Title: Dean of School Culture
Reports to: School Director / Associate Director

The Dean of School Culture will have the following duties and responsibilities:
Develop positive rapport with school staff and students to contribute to working conditions conducive to building a professional learning community
  • Establish consistent standards and structures around discipline and behavior managementAnalyze school wide culture and discipline data to make data driven decisions about student incentives and interventions and staff development needsObserve classrooms and coach teachers in the areas of classroom management and behavior interventions, leading to a reduction in classroom removalsConduct conferences with students, parents, and other stakeholdersLog and document student data in student information management systems; use data to prepare reports and facilitate behavioral conferencesPrepare professional development and school behavior intervention plans using data to guide improvement practicesIdentify discipline and safety goals, objectives and metricsHave great verbal and written communication skills, time management and organization skills, and exceptional customer serviceExercise good judgment when responding to safety and security violations and emergenciesExercise dignity and respect when interacting with students at all timesManage and patrol school ground to ensure safety and security of students and staffCollaborate with leadership teams in crisis managementConduct hall sweeps, classroom walk-throughs, and monitor the cafeteria to promote positive behavior as neededKeep extremely accurate student discipline records, documenting all conferences, suspensions, and phone calls for behavior. Consult resources to address social and emotional/health issues that may impact student performance/behaviorHighly present and visible during school hours, relentlessly ensuring the school has an amazing school cultureAssist in other student support initiatives

Student Supports: Interventions and Empowerment
• Co-facilitates behavior RTI
• Co-facilitates quarterly parent conferences for at risk students

Qualification:
A Bachelor's degree and appropriate certification are required. Strength of academic background, experience, interview results, and references will be considered during the selection process.
