The Round Lake Area Schools Community Unit School District 116, with approximately 920 employees and an enrollment of 7400 students grades PreK-12, is seeking a vibrant, visionary and mission-driven Assistant Principal for the 2018-2019 school year. The successful candidate will assist in the planning, organizing, directing, and controlling of the educational programming and or operational activities at Magge Middle School. The successful candidate will demonstrate outstanding educational leadership, professionalism, and excellence in the areas of instruction, operations, and both student and staff development as evidenced by:

• Providing oversight and leadership connected to all facets of student support services through the coordination of students, parents, certified faculty, non-certified staff, and community agencies.Applying data and mission-driven decision making in establishing strategic goals and objectives.Establishing high expectations and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.Supporting a school climate that is safe, welcoming and respectful.Demonstrating strong organizational, interpersonal, financial, verbal and written communication skills.Challenging the status quo and developing new norms for education.

Requirements:

• A Master's degree in education or closely-related field plus three (3) years of professional level experience working in an educational settingAdministrative experience in an educational settingValid Illnois Professional Educator License registered in Lake CountyGeneral Administrative EndorsementMiddle School EndorsementsSpanish Speaking PreferredDean of Students Experience PreferredMiddle School Experience PreferredKnowledge of Restorative PracticesAbility to Multi-TaskStudent-Centered Approach
