Position Summary:
Serves as a mentor to other teachers and will be an active member of the in-service committee assisting in the planning of yearly staff professional development. Develop and oversee transition planning and implementation for students 14-21 years of age along with the student's educational team. Also responsible for disseminating information to staff, students and parents regarding student needs, progress and resources.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Special Education PLUS a minimum of five years teaching experience as well as experience in Secondary Special Education and/or Vocational Education. Must have a valid professional NYS Teaching Certification , experience in instructional design and modification along with knowledge of special education and transition services, classroom management skills and the ability to assess student performanace.
Hours:
Full Time, Monday to Friday 7:30am to 3:30pm
Location:
Cheektowaga
