QUALIFICATIONS

1. Knowledge in theater technical operations (rigging, set design, etc.).

2. Three to five years experience in technical theater operations.

3. Effective interpersonal skills.

4. Ability to organize.

5. Ability to provide effective leadership.

6. Design experience (lighting/sound).

7. Some musical background.

8. Rigging experience.

9. Be flexible and available for last minute requests.

10. Regular attendance is required.

11. Other qualifications to the above that the Board may find acceptable and appropriate.

REPORTS TO: Principal or designee

SUPERVISES: Not applicable

JOB GOAL: To effectively create and execute all lighting and sound design for

assemblies, concerts, theater and band productions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Facilitate the planning and coordination of all activities related to lighting, sound and set construction for Campus and District events.

2. Promote and enhance school-community relations through technical production and media support for community organization programs such as: assemblies, professional development, evening events, concerts, theatrical productions and school board meetings.

3. Assist professional, custodial, and maintenance staff with rehearsals and auditorium set-up requirements.

4. Assist teachers with student instruction pertaining to technical theater operations.

5. Safeguard the use of technical operations equipment and track inventory of laptop carts, projectors and smartboards.

6. Assist in training students, staff, and volunteers in safe and appropriate use of technical operations equipment.

7. Take pictures and assist with recording, editing and producing videos for Campus and District events.

8. Responsible for graphic design of projects such as posters, banners, note pads and letterhead.

9. Maintain bulletin boards and displays including room B123.

10. Manage stadium, gym, and cafeteria sound systems at the Campus.

11. Manage Campus social media accounts.

MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Provide recommendations related to budget for maintenance and purchase of related equipment.

2. Review and recommend approval to administration for building permits related to utilization of both auditoriums.

3. Coordinate fire drill stadium set ups.

4. Provide gator transportation for disabled.

5. Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Full year

EVALUATION: For new employees, evaluations will be performed according to the current collective bargaining agreement. For transferring employees, evaluations will be done at 30 days.

All regular employees will be evaluated at least yearly.

Physical Demands:

10% standing, 50% walking, 40% sitting.

Twisting, turning, squatting, bending, climbing.

Occasionally lifting up to 100 lbs. a distance of 50 feet.
