Essential Functions and Objectives:

We are looking for highly motivated and skilled talent to join our team at Denver Public Schools. We seek individuals with experience working with diverse student populations and a record of improving academic outcomes for all students.

T he Math Fellow Coordinator provides direct coaching and development support to a team of Math Fellows at one or multiple school sites. Math Fellows provide highly structured math instruction as part of the regular school day. Fellows sign on for participation in the program as part of a year of service before continuing their own education or going on to lead a classroom. Instructional Coaching and Evaluation

- Provides instructional coaching and development for Math Fellows.

- S upports and evaluates the professional experiences of Math Fellows for the improvement of student growth and achievement.

- Creates a culture of high academic expectations for all students.

T eam Management

- Creates a high achieving culture connected to program and district mission, vision and values.

- P rovides solutions for daily management issues.

- R ecognizes Math Fellows on a regular basis.

Use of Data

- S upports Fellows in the use of data to drive instruction, plan rigorous lessons, and select appropriate materials for students.

- U ses multiple data points to identify strengths and areas for growth at particular school sites to facilitate change as needed.

- T echnology implementation and maintenance

- R egulations and reporting

Knowledge, Experience & Other Qualifications:

- Background as a classroom teacher and demonstrated ability to coach and develop teams of adults is strongly preferred.

Education Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree from a competitive college or university. Master's degree preferred.
