The West Valley Central School District is looking for a Licensed Registered Nurse. This position is a probationary full-time position. The position requires the candidate to be able perform basic health assessements, provide for basic nursing needs of students throughout the day, perform routine screenings of student health as required by NYSED including immunizations, coordinate seasonal sports physicals with the school physician, coordinate with the athletic department for student participation in athlteics, communicates with families and administration regarding health needs of students, maintains cumulative health records of students, and other duties related to the general health and safety of students and staff.
West Valley is set in the southern tier of Western New York and minutes from the 219 expressway. Located just a few miles from Springville and Ellicottville, the area offers a wide range of recreational activities and access to all of the ammenities of suburban area.
Our academic program provides students with the core requirements, a variety of electives in the Arts, Industrial Arts, Computer Technology, and college course offerings taught by West Valley teachers in collaboration with Syracuse University, Jamestown Community College, Houghton College, and Genesee Community College, that total approximately 56 credits.
