The Talent Development Specialist - Instructional Designer is responsible for identifying performance, skills, knowledge, information, and attitude gaps of a targeted audience and creating, selecting or suggesting learning experiences that close this gap, based on the instructional theory and best practices from the field. This role redesigns courses, develops entire courses or curriculums, and creates training materials, such as teaching manuals and student guides.   • Uses ADDIE, SAM, Kirkpatrick and other recognized models to design, develop and publish engaging course content, learning activities and knowledge assessments for Instructor Led Training (ILT), online, virtual and blended modalities
  • Uses eLearning authoring tools to design and develop interactive learning solutions
  • Seeks out and engages with opportunities to think creatively and find innovative solutions to online course delivery challenges
  • Collaborates with Subject Matter Experts (SME) to design and build engaging online courses, assessments and activities in accordance with established processes and practices
  • Provides guidance and support to SME through each stage of course development
  • Advocates for positive learning outcomes and user experience
  • Builds cross-functional coalitions to support the sustainable, scalable, and accessible integration of "principles of good practice" in online course design
  • Demonstrates a commitment to learning new and emerging technologies and instructional design approaches, assist in the assessment of their impact on teaching and learning
  • Evaluates the instructional effectiveness of course materials that are being developed and produced
  • Facilitates the collaboration of the instructional design team in identifying problems, suggesting changes, and ensuring the quality and instructional integrity of course materials that are developed

Requirements
Minimum Required Qualifications
  • Two (2) years of college AND
  • Bachelor's degree in communication, education, instructional design, or related field
  • Two (2) or more years of experience in a curriculum development or similar role

Certificates and Licenses: None Required
Desired Qualifications
  • Industry certifications in instructional design, curriculum development, performance improvement, project management, and content-specific certifications as appropriate (CPLP, CPT, PMP, etc.) are a plus ;
