The College and Career Manager will serve as the lead for the Senior Counselors, Dual Enrollment Counselors and Graduation Coaches, and will be responsible for serving as the point of contact and direct report to the Assistant Director of College and Career Academy. The College and Career Manager will provide direction, planning, analyses, monitoring, evaluation, and administration of their programs of oversight and direct reports. The ideal candidate will be highly flexible, resourceful, able to multi-task and able to cultivate and grow relationships with GCA students and families.   • Supervision and Oversight of the Dual Enrollment Counselors, CTAE Coordinator, Graduation Coaches, and Senior Counselors
  • Collects and Provides data and reports to Assistant Director of College and Career Readiness
  • Oversight and supervision of evaluations and goals management
  • Recruiting/Marketing and retention of student's participation in Career Readiness Education programs
  • Staying up to date on changes in funding, graduation requirements, and programs and facilitating those changes to team members
  • Assisting with department wide initiatives (counseling department as a whole)
  • Event Planning
  • Public Speaking
    Supervisory Responsibilities: Directly supervises 13 - 20 Full-time Equivalent (FTE) regular employees and/or contractors. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Are you driven by excellence to deliver instruction, support and guidance, manage the learning process, and focus on students' individual needs? If selected, you will participate in a comprehensive new teacher training program for three weeks before the start of school. It is an opportunity to meet colleagues and learn the responsibilities required for delivering curriculum in an online environment. During this training you will also learn how to monitor student progress through K12's learning management system, and to be a partner actively working with students and parents to advance each child's learning.

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
  • Master's Degree of Education in School Counseling
  • 3+ Years of experience as a Professional School Counselor
Other Required Qualifications
  • Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, etc.); Web proficiency.
  • Ability to travel 25% of the time
  • Ability to pass required background check
  • Strong organization skills
  • Management/Supervisory experience
  • Experience with High School Senior Counseling/Graduation Requirements
  • Experience with Dual Enrollment in Georgia

Certificates and Licenses: Appropriate State School Counseling certification in grades P-12
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience and proficiency with Infinite Campus Student Information System
