K12 is looking for a Curriculum Alignment Contractor specializing in High School Math curricula to join our team, on an as-needed basis. In this role, you will carefully review K12online and print curricula materials, with an emphasis on High School Math, along with assessment blueprints and practice items, to produce documentation that shows how well the K12 courses address national and State standards.

AS A CURRICULUM ALIGNMENT CONTRACTOR YOU WILL . . .


  • Create quality documentation that shows how the K¹² High School Math curricula align against State and national standards and exam blueprints for public distribution.
  • Create State standard and test blueprint matrices to inform curriculum development and revision.
  • In some cases, collaborate with content specialist to make high level instructional recommendations for additional content coverage on alignments to ensure 95% or better coverage.
  • Review existing curriculum alignments to confirm documented coverage is to most current version of standards.
  • Write and deliver summaries of the alignment data, pointing out the most important findings from the alignment documentation, to support marketing efforts, grant and charter school applications, curriculum adoption, etc.
  • Support curriculum-based projects with knowledge of K¹² curriculum and State standards.

Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience doing curriculum alignment work in K-12 or higher education
  • Strong familiarity with State and national Math curriculum standards
  • One year experience mapping State standards to curriculum
  • Strong knowledge of standards, alignment, curriculum mapping, and standards language
  • Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Analyze and review content with a strong attention to detail
  • Prioritize workload and meet critical milestones/deadlines on a tight schedule
  • Work both independently and collaborate virtually with all team members and staff
  • Carry out detailed written and/or verbal instructions
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills, including verbal, written, and interpersonal
  • Bachelor or Master's degree in Education, Curriculum Design, or Instruction, or equivalent combination of training and 3-5 years instructional or curriculum experience.
  • Strong content knowledge in the area of Math at the secondary level.
  • Relevant teaching license preferred.
