Preschool School Counselor/Social Worker

Department within Gateway Longview: Therapeutic Preschool
As a School Counselor/Social Worker with Gateway Longview, you will use your counseling experience to implement and evaluate treatment components of each students IEP. You will also maintain direct, clinical contacts with assigned students and their families.
Communication, collaboration, and cultural sensitivity will be your keys to success.
As a School Counselor/Social Worker, you will get to:

• Maintain a case load of 13 students, assuring communication with all appropriate staff and community contacts
• Complete initial assessments and discharge summary reports, IEPs, and progress reports in a timely manner
• Facilitate aftercare planning and transition of students to home school district upon discharge from program
• Develop, teach, model and evaluate techniques and interventions that align with our Solution-Focused and Trauma-Informed Approach to Care

The Fine Print - if you are applying you MUST:

• Have LMSW or School Social Worker Certification with relevant experience or School Counselor Certification with applicable experience
• Have a valid NYS Driver's License and your own vehicle with adequate insurance and registration
• Be flexible with your schedule
