St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute, an all-boys Lasallian Catholic high school in Buffalo, NY, announces an opening for a part-time position of Spanish Teacher. The successful candidate will inspire our high school students to gain a deeper understanding of Spanish language and culture. The position offers a salary that exceeds or is closely competitive with compensation at local private and public high schools.
Candidate Profile:
Content expertise is expected, as is the desire and ability to teach students of diverse backgrounds on an individual level. The ideal candidate will try innovative and creative ways to bring excitement to the language program. Eagerness to contribute as a life-long learner as part of a true professional learning community is a must.
Appropriate certifications and degrees are required. A completed (or in-progress) master's degree is preferable.
Role and Responsibilities:
The candidate will be expected to participate fully in all obligations of a high school teacher - incorporating modern and ever-changing educational technology to suit students' learning.
The Spanish Teacher reports to the Principal and will work together with students, faculty, and administrators.
