Higher Institute of Arts and Technology Elementary/Middle School (HIAT) Teacher is responsible for creating a classroom environment that fosters, promotes and develops an understanding of the relationship of healthy body function and exercise; that motivates each student to cultivate physical fitness, and appropriate social and emotional adjustment; that discovers and develop talents of students in physical achievement; and that develops strength, skill, agility, poise, and coordination in individual, dual and team physical activities and sports, in accordance with each student's ability.

REQUIREMENTS
- A passion for working with students and families in under-served communities
- Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university
- Valid Indiana State Teacher License
- Be flexible with teaching in both a classroom and gymnasium
- An ability to integrate both physical education and health subjects in a fun and engaging way
- Knowledgeable about best practices in physical education and instruction
- Passion for enhancing the wellness and physical abilities of a diverse group of students
- Demonstrate organizational and technology skills
