POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the Title I Coordinating Supervisor, the Title I Technology Learning Resource Teacher will be responsible for most aspects of supporting, mentoring and training teachers on how to integrate technologies purchased by Title I into the district's curriculum. The technology learning will expand the use of technology for Title I students and staff.

Salary Range: $57,338 - $124,582

Detailed Description:

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
  • Manage and Design learning projects based on SAMR and sound Instructional design principles and practices;
  • Supports and mentors teachers on a daily bases to ensure proper use and implementation of technologies in classroom;
  • Meet with teachers and team members to assess Title I initiative requirements, create project plans, manage expectations, and apply team standards;
  • Provide technology assessments, and other deliverables for a variety of broad range of learning needs;
  • Act as a knowledge resource to Title I schools regarding instructional design, learning technology, mobile technologies, graphic/media design, LMS integration, etc.;
  • Supports teaching and learning with mobile technology;
  • Supports parent and student components of Title I technology initiative;
  • Helps maintains Title I Inventory of all Title I issued technology devices;
  • Participates in approved professional development activities to keep current on instructional technology skills and software curriculum developments;
  • Solves problems with detail oriented logic while embracing new knowledge, different perspectives and a flexible approach;
  • Actively identifies opportunities to improve processes and standards;
  • Possesses a vision for the future in instructional technology;
  • Attends professional meetings and participates in teacher-parent or teacher-student conferences, as necessary;
  • Writes reports, maintains required records and follows required procedures and practices; and
  • Performs other school district related duties as required or directed by the supervisor.


  • Job Requirements:

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
  • Ability to maintain professional and collaborative working relationships with staff, teachers, administrators, students and the community;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Power-Point, Word, Outlook, etc.), Access, and skilled using the internet for work related research;
  • Knowledge of multiple mobile device and desktop platforms, particularly iOS, Chrome and Windows Understanding of PGCPS's K-12 curriculum goals;
  • Understanding of desktop operating systems;
  • Experience in planning and providing professional development in areas of instructional technology;
  • Experience in basic technology troubleshooting;
  • Experience in assisting staff with technology tools to facilitate teaching and learning;
  • Possesses a vision for the future of technology in PGCPS Title I Schools;
  • Possesses a knowledge and passion for innovative use of mobile devices tools; and
  • Knowledge of technologies and curriculum software purchased by Title I.

  • EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

    Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in technology education or related field and three (3) years teaching experience preferred.

    CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

    Holds or is eligible for a Professional Certificate appropriate to area of assignment issued by the Maryland State Department of Education; Maryland Advanced Professional Certificate preferred.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    No direct supervisory responsibilities.
