Assistant Principal (Grades K-5) at Glenview Elementary: Requirements are a valid Arkansas Teacher's License with certification in Building Level Administration K-12 (#276), successful completion of Teacher Excellence Support System Evaluator credentialing, and ability and willingness to use current and future technologies for instruction and support. Responsibilities include but are not limited to assisting the principal with the supervision of students and staff in all aspects of academics and extracurricular activities according to state accreditation standards licensure/certification and subject matter as assigned by the building Principal. 207-day contract with an excellent fringe benefits package. Position Summary: The elementary school assistant principal serves as assistant to the principal, and performs the duties of an educational leader as directed by the principal. The assistant principal is responsible for assisting with the implementing and managing the policies, regulations, and procedures of the District to ensure that all students are supervised in a safe student-centered learning environment that meets and exceeds the ADE State Standards, following the approved curricula and directives of the District and the ADE. Achieving academic excellence requires that the assistant principal works collaboratively to lead and nurture all members of the school staff and to communicate effectively with parents, members of the community, and colleagues in other districts and schools. Inherent in the position are the responsibilities for student supervision, planning, curriculum development, extracurricular activities, assisting with personnel management, emergency procedures, resource scheduling, and facilities operations.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education

• Masters Degree in Education and a valid Arkansas Teacher's License #276 (Building Level Administration)

Experience

• Have a minimum of four years of experience in teaching and working with adults or adolescents.

• A record of effective teaching and educational leadership, demonstrated a commitment to a positive learning environment, excellent communication skills, and a strong commitment to educational equity.

• Demonstrated skills and abilities in dealing with the diverse needs of students are highly desirable.
