Principal

Rockland BOCES is seeking a Principal for the Hudson Valley Pathways in Technology Early College High School (P-TECH).  This is a specialized STEM Early College High School program where students graduate with a high school diploma and an associate degree.

Qualifications:

• A commitment to fully implement the NYS P-TECH model;
• The ability to continue the strong partnerships with higher education and business and community partners;
• Excellent communication skills;
• Knowledge of effective practices for the recruitment of at-risk and other under-represented students;
• Demonstrated ability to drive exceptional student outcomes;
• Skilled in the processes needed to fully integrate high school, college and work-based learning experiences;
• Ability to lead the work with higher education and industry partners to develop/revise a seamless scope and sequence of courses that enable all students to earn an A.A.S. degree within six years and that includes workplace learning;
• The ability to provide relevant and ongoing professional development for staff in project/problem based learning;
• Effective liaising with P-Tech leaders in the State Education Department and Governor’s Offices

CERTIFICATION:   New York State SAS or SBL certification required.
