POSITION TITLE: Technology Integration Coordinator (TIC)
REPORTS TO: Director of Technology and Assistant Superintendent for Academics and Family Services

Required Experience or Training
Valid Illinois Professional Educators License with Secondary Endorsement; Experience in a technology coaching/coordination role.

Desired Experience or Training
Master's Degree; At least 5 years of successful high school teaching experience.

  • Helps integrate current and emerging technologies into instructional programs to enhance and enrich student learning.Provides teacher leadership, coaching/mentoring, advocacy in 'best practices' involving teaching, learning and technology integration.Provides support and assistance to classroom teachers in the full implementation of the district's adopted programs.Designs and conducts professional development to ensure that teachers are knowledgeable about technology integration.Researches and provides guidance/information regarding a range of effective and innovative technology-based instructional strategies through various activities such as: individual discussions (informal and formal), coaching sessions, staff meetings, and professional development programs.Provides analysis and support of technology related issues pertaining to classroom instruction including laptops, desktops, tablets, and software.
  • Participates in collaborative district level and team meetings to assist in improving the focus of instructional planning.Assists administrators and staff with data-driven decision making and goal setting relating to improved instruction.Works with academic staff to develop and implement technology-enhanced curriculum integration projects.

Professionally Related Competencies
  • Ability to demonstrate understanding of principles, theories, methods, techniques and strategies pertaining to effective instruction.Experience with teacher support and coaching techniques.Ability to quickly adapt to and understand how to integrate new technology and the accompanying products in the instructional setting.Ability to demonstrate complex problem-solving skills.Ability to provide high quality professional development.Preforms data analysis and ability to provide information in a clear presentation format.Preforms other duties as assigned.
