The Essex Westford School District (EWSD) is seeking a Finance and Accounting Assistant to provide clerical and bookkeeping support for finance and accounting functions for all of EWSD, including playing a key role in supporting the finance and human resources software system. In addition to various office work and special projects, the Finance & Accounting Assistant is responsible for assisting with and providing training sessions for end users using specific software tools. Acting as a user liaison, the Finance & Accounting Assistant will identify key areas of need for standard operating practices, user training materials, or system modifications.

We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications and competencies:
- A combination of professional bookkeeping, office management, and/or accounting work experience and education.
- Direct experience supporting a complex, multi-user, distributed software system.
- Experience facilitating presentations and adult learning in a dynamic and proactive manner across multiple job levels in an organization. Project management experience highly desired.
- Strong technical background including proficiency in word processing programs, Google applications, graphics design programs, presentation programs, website platforms, and social media.
- Excellent understanding of different operating systems and programming languages, as well as extensive experience working with databases and network tools.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Great interpersonal skills.
- Flexible and adaptable. Able to identify and implement improvements to systems and practices to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
- High accuracy & attention to detail. Strong organizational and planning skills.

Positions pays $20.75 to 24.95/hour depending on experience. Excellent benefits package available including family medical and dental insurance; 30K term life insurance; professional development funds; retirement plan with up to 6% employer contribution; and paid vacation and other leaves.
