AVID Center is looking for a Program Evaluation Manager to join the Research team in our San Diego office. The Program Evaluation Manager will lead the charge to design and implement a comprehensive approach to measuring the impact of AVID’s professional learning offerings, curriculum and digital resources, certification processes, and resources, to support internal staff in coaching partners to schoolwide implementation. The perfect candidate for this role is creative, strategic, collaborative, and driven by their passion for creating evaluation tools to serve the broader mission.


What we are looking for in a Program Evaluation Manager:

  • Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing, and an ability to explain complex evaluation and measurement concepts to a lay audience
  • Experience designing and implementing evaluation tools to support strategic evaluation plans, including both quantitative and qualitative methods
  • Preferred experience using technologies such as Excel, SPSS, R, Stata, or other equivalent survey development and data analysis software
  • Ability to use organizational, research, analytical, and problem-solving skills to meet deadlines
  • Ability to think and plan strategically in order to use findings, conclusions, recommendations, and lessons learned from work to improve program design and strategy
  • Ability and willingness to work with all levels of leadership across the organization to monitor and communicate the results of key performance indicators (KPIs)

What you will do as a Program Evaluation Manager:

  • Serve as AVID’s resident expert and primary relationship manager/liaison for evaluation and measurement of all programs, resources, and services teams
  • Create strategic evaluation plans to measure progress against key metrics for internal program assessment and external reporting purposes
  • Conduct a thorough review of all existing program evaluation and data collection practices and provide recommendations for revision as needed
  • Convene and facilitate groups to interpret and examine data, make decisions, and move to action
