QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree in social work, sociology, community relations, counseling, education, or a related field preferred
Experience in education, human services or related field; experience in secondary education or post-secondary education preferred
Knowledge of district programs and related programs in the broader community
Ability to work with administrators, teachers, students, and parents to coordinate academic enrichment programs
Excellent written and oral communication skills; proven ability to use these skills to communicate effectively with a wide variety of individuals throughout the community; Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, students, and parents.
Excellent organization skills; proven ability to collect and analyze data and complete reports
High degree of flexibility and tolerance; strong interpersonal skills
Must be able to work a flexible schedule

REPORTS TO: Campus Principal
SUPERVISES: No direct reports
JOB GOAL: The Academic Achievement and Student Success Specialist will coordinate the implementation and delivery of academic enrichment programs to 9-12th grade students and parents, with the goal of increasing student academic achievement, co-curricular engagement, and campus climate.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Develop and implement academic enrichment program during the school day for identified student groups.IB Middle years program
Academic Intervention
Postsecondary planning
Evaluate academic enrichment programs' effectiveness, efficiency, and equity. Utilize analysis for decision making on program improvements and changes.
Provide academic enrichment program recommendations to guide 9-12th grade students and parents in supporting their children to increase academic and social success. This work is done in collaboration with counselors, administrators, and other key stakeholders.
Organizes family events to support and celebrate curricular and co-curricular achievements
Plan and schedule regular awareness programs, meetings, and events.
Produce and distribute program
Collaborate with community partners to deliver services
Perform other related tasks as assigned
MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:
Perform clerical and administrative tasks as assigned
Participate in professional development opportunities for professional growth and continuous improvement
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 10 month. Salary to be established by the Board.
EVALUATION: Performance is evaluated in accordance with the Compensation and Performance Evaluation Plan for School and District Leaders.
PHYSICAL/MENTAL/ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:
Physical Demands:
Sitting at a desk for extended periods of time
Standing for limited periods of time
Occasional bending, crouching, stooping, twisting, reaching and grasping
Light lifting- up to 15 pounds
Repetitive movement of fingers and hands for keyboarding.
Sensory Abilities:
Visual acuity to read correspondence and computer screens.
Auditory acuity to be able to use telephones.
Ability to speak clearly and distinctly.
Temperament:
Ability to work as a member of a team.
Must be courteous and able to deal effectively with people.
Must be cooperative, congenial, and service oriented.
Ability to work with limited supervision.
Ability to be flexible.

Ability to interpret detailed written and verbal communications.
Ability to function in fast-paced and high-pressure work setting.
