NOTICE OF POSITION

POSITION :

The Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Kriner Cash, is interested in receiving applications from qualified candidates for the position of:

BEHAVIORAL SPECIALIST @ ECC #54

QUALIFICATIONS :

Certification in Special Education, School Social Worker, or Psychologist. It is required that candidates must attach a PDF or a screen shot of their certifications. Knowledge and experience with implementing PBIS model and systems. Experience with de-escalation techniques. Experience with writing, implementing and monitoring Student Intervention Records and Data. Must have the ability to perform the physical duties associated with this position.
DUTIES :
  • Coordinate the school's PBIS initiative for Tiers 1 & 2
  • Member of the school's PBIS and attendance committees
  • Member of the school's Character Counts! Champion Team.
  • Coordinates with Character Counts! and PEDALS for program support.
  • Respond to students requiring de-escalation intervention
  • Work with teachers to implement effective classroom management strategies and assist teachers with BIP/FBA implementation.
  • Work with teachers to write and support Student Intervention Records
  • Attend required professional development and district meetings.
  • Provide professional development to faculty and staff as needed.
  • Work with the Student Support Team to identify students needing Tier 2 strategies/interventions.
  • Work with Student Support Team and teachers to develop student goals for CICO
  • Work with Say Yes Family Support Specialist to identify supports available to our families.
  • Provide data and reports as required to monitor student suspensions, ODRs and attendance.
  • Implement Restorative Practices with students and community members
  • Work with parents to assist in meeting their child's needs.
  • Duties as assigned by the Principal.

APPOINTMENT :

Appointment will be made by the Superintendent following assessment of training, experience, certifications, credentials, and evaluation of service. Personal interviews shall be scheduled where appropriate.

SALARY : Teacher salary schedule based on BTF contract.
