Director of Campus Ministry


Brief Description of Job: Bishop Moore Catholic High school, the largest private Catholic school in Orlando, Florida, serves families in the 9 th -12 th grades. The position enhances the mission of Bishop Moore Catholic High School by providing opportunities for all students to develop spiritually and intellectually in their Catholic Faith. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Meet with Pastor, Principal, and Director of Mission Effectiveness to review Campus Ministry: calendar, annual theme, prioritiesReview annual calendar with Campus Ministry team and clergyDevelop and maintain annual budget for Campus MinistryEnhancement and oversight of Peer Ministry ProgramEnhancement and planning of 4 Class Retreats per yearCoordinate students attending diocesan events or any time BMC is represented in community (including Focus 11, special Masses at the Cathedral, and fundraising events)Coordinate all school Masses and school-wide prayer experiencesCoordinate Specialized Retreat Program (including athletics, arts, clubs)Oversee and ensure success of small prayer groups for students (i.e., girls and boys groups)Develop, maintain and coordinate supervision of inviting Campus Ministry spaceCreate opportunities for formation and continued spiritual development for faculty/staffCoordinate and attend 2 mission trips per yearOversee 3-4 school-wide donation drives per yearWork with Director of Maintenance to Change decorations on campus for liturgical seasonsManage parent volunteers to help with certain CM activitiesOrganize all permission forms for retreatsPrint materials as needed for eventsSchedule bi-annual meetings with priests, youth ministers, etcCoordinate schedule for youth ministers and DREs to visit campus


Minimum Qualifications:
  • A Masters Degree in related field; Advanced Degrees favoredApplicants who are practicing Catholics and have prior experience preferredDemonstrated skills and knowledge of teaching, communication and people skillsEmployment is contingent on the applicant passing a full background check.Upon employment individual will be subject to a 90-day probationary period
