DEPARTMENT: Parent and Community Engagement (PACE) Center, 91 School Street
REPORTS TO: Parent and Community Engagement Center Senior Administrator
FUNDING: Title I
SCHEDULE: Full-Time, 52 weeks, 37.5 hours per week, some evenings and weekends required
BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTION:
To promote the PACE Center as the front-line hub for families, community organizations and businesses to connect to when engaging with the Springfield Public Schools. Consistently communicate with stakeholders about what is happening at, and through, the PACE Center. Implement plan to create the most efficient, hospitable and friendly environment for both staff and visitors of the PACE Center. Greet all PACE Center clients/ guests and provide information and referrals to those both visiting and calling the PACE Center.
DUTIES:
Represent the PACE Center as the initial point of contact for families, community members and SPS staff
Foster culture of high level professionalism and customer service throughout the PACE Center
Serve as resource liaison to visitors and staff within the Center
Lead facilitation of building signs, posters, and overall look. Greet visitors (in-person or on the phone) in a pleasant, informed manner for the purpose of providing information and creating a positive image of the PACE Center
Provide accurate information to PACE Center clients on district policies /procedures and connect clients to the appropriate person or team within the Springfield Public Schools
Serve as lead contact and facilitator for youth work permits issued at the PACE Center
Play lead role in district's annual Back-to-School Celebration, End of Year Event and High School Information Night by organizing volunteers, logistics, vendors and budget/ purchasing procedures
Collect customer and programmatic data in support of comprehensive report of PACE Center enrollment, partnerships and activities
Process all deliveries/ vendors within the PACE Center
Lead tracking and organization of all donations/ supply orders to/ through the PACE Center that are resources for schools, students and families
Manage all inquiries coming into the PACE Center and answer questions as appropriate or forward to the appropriate person and/or team
Facilitate professional development and team-building opportunities for PACE Center employees
Utilize MUNIS on a consistent basis in support of PACE Center operations
Support PACE Center Senior Administrator with building operations
Perform other related duties as assigned by the PACE Center Administrators
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have outstanding ability to work within a team environment
Requires 2-3 years of experience in the field
Relevant Bachelor's Degree required, or educational requirement may be substituted for at least 5 years of experience in relevant field
Individual Contributor
Responsible for coordinating a function or operational effort
Position requires some autonomy for decision making and independent judgement
Possess strong organizational and time management skills and the ability to work cooperatively with parents, community partners and school personnel
Proficiency in computer operations, including but not limited to, Microsoft software programs (Excel, Word, Access, etc.) Experience with student information (PowerSchool) and financial (MUNIS) systems highly desirable.
Ability to identify needs of diverse populations and connect those needs to specific resources
