GENERAL SUMMARY
Reporting to the Financial Data Administrator, and in collaboration with the Chief Financial and Operations Officer, compile, analyze, and report on data across the District's financial and operations programs and initiatives.

MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS
BA in Math, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Business or related field required.
Sound understanding of basic budgetary and financial principles required with experience in an educational setting preferred
Extensive experience with MS Access, SQL reporting, or other similar database/reporting tools preferred
Experience with designing and implementing user-friendly dashboards and reports in a data warehousing or business intelligence environment required.
Experience with SharePoint administration and/or SharePoint Designer a plus.
Experience conducting data analysis in a business/financial environment required.
Experience conducting financial data analysis in a K-12 educational environment preferred.
Experience managing complex projects and effectively balancing numerous competing priorities.
Perform any additional related work as assigned by the Chief Financial & Operations Officer, Financial Data Administrator, or Superintendent, as needed.
Creativity, strategic thinking, problem solving, and leadership skills.
Thorough communication, presentation, and meeting facilitation skills.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES
Ability to work with district personnel at all levels to clearly define and gather requirements for effective financial and operational data reporting
Ability to create new opportunities to share and analyze data with staff from all levels within the Springfield Public Schools.
Under the guidance of the Financial Data Administrator, ability to take a lead role in the development of business information within the Data Warehouse including implementation of administrative dashboards, and development of custom reports.
Ability to effectively present data to senior staff in a format that will allow them to make sound business decisions and resolve problems of strategy, policy, and operations.
Ability to manage the responses to, and timely fulfillment of, external and internal data requests.
Ability to clearly document processes and procedures as they are developed and/or modified
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with school officials, department heads, city hall and the general public
Ability to organize the work of the Office of Business and Financial Services in responding to the data and information needs of schools.
Ability to provide coaching and support to users in acquiring, analyzing, and understanding data.
Ability to develop, implement, and refine, as needed, key performance metrics, and performance monitoring tools.
Ability to analyze, organize, retrieve and integrate data from various information systems, with a heavy emphasis on MUNIS and Kronos.
Ability to monitor the District's progress toward meeting annual performance goals and targets.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret standard, policies, procedures and regulations.
Ability to operate standard office equipment, such as a computer keyboard, monitor, copies, scanners, and telephones
Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
