Project Administrator

Position S ummary

The responsibility of this position is to organize and facilitate the execution of internal project activities . This individual will be central in keeping projects visible within the department and throughout the organization , and will be responsible for supporting the Sr, Project Manager in the execution of a wide range of projects of varying levels of complexity and size.
Responsibilities

  • Provide administration and/or facilitation of multiple programs/ projects
  • Manage project documentation, communications, meetings, and required follow up activities with project teams
  • Create milestones for projects along with deliverable timelines
  • Monitor the progress of projects and identify issues affecting timely and accurate completion
  • Identify roadblocks in projects and escalate as necessary
  • Communicate with project stakeholders across various organizational departments
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks related to long-term or ongoing projects
  • Assist in creating and maintaining process documents with the project teams
  • Perform other duties as assigned to ensure the success of the team and the entire organization
Skills and A bilities

  • Ability to organize time effectively, determine priorities, and move work forward
  • Ability to manage numerous tasks and projects simultaneously
  • Ability to work autonomously and take initiative to work, at times, with little direction
  • Experience with facilitation or coordination of projects in both traditional and agile methods
  • Proficient in Microsoft ® Office ® p roducts (Word ® , Excel ® , MS Project ®, PowerPoint ® ) ; SharePoint ® experience preferred
  • Strong word processing, proofing , and editing skills; ability to pay close attention to detail and quality
  • Ability to work and communicate effectively with a variety of individuals including team members and other NWEA teams
  • Ability to assess the effectiveness of processes and procedures and recommend improvements
  • Ability to identify barriers to progress and propose solutions with the project teams
E ducation and E xperience

  • Minimum bachelors ' degree required; an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of a degree
  • Minimum of 1-year project administration /coordination experience required
  • CAPM/PMP certification preferred
