Network Enrollment Director

Reports to: Chief Operating Officer

Independence Mission Schools (IMS) is a non-profit network of 15 Pre-K to 8th grade elementary schools re-envisioning urban Catholic education in and around the city of Philadelphia. IMS schools are mission-driven to provide a rigorous academic education to students of all faiths. Our schools have approximately 5,000 students and have been beacons of hope for families from all backgrounds for generations. Located in neighborhoods that have been historically underserved by other schooling options, IMS schools offer a faith-centered and academically rigorous alternative for our families. Today, IMS serves a diverse student population where our team works tirelessly to prepare our students for world-class high schools and heaven.

Position Summary:

The Director of Enrollment will lead enrollment management efforts for all 15 IMS schools by creating a strong awareness among various constituents (prospective students and families, current students and families, community members) that showcases the school as the ideal choice for their child. The Director will also support the efforts of school-based enrollment staff by ensuring efficient, effective, and strategic application, admissions, and enrollment processes at each school.

Key Responsibilities:

• Outreach and Awareness:
  • Uses data and research to create an overall enrollment strategy and implementation plan, realizing that each school has a unique culture and structure.
  • Works collaboratively with the Chief Operating Officer, Senior Staff, Principals, and the local advisory boards to develop relationships and opportunities to enhance enrollment.
  • In concert with IMS marketing resources, develops organizational and promotional materials for schools for programs and initiatives that promote and support admissions.
  • Give presentations in a variety of settings promoting IMS schools.
  • Contribute to social media platforms for admissions related posts.

• Process Improvements
  • Assess school-level processes for admissions and make recommendations for improvements at the school and network-level.
  • Provide regular training and direct support for enrollment staff to ensure procedures for admissions are efficient and effective, with an emphasis on data-driven practices and customer-service to families.

Education Experience and Skills Required

• 3-5 years enrollment management experience preferably in an education setting.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and proven ability to work with all stakeholders.
• A strong respect for the philosophy, mission, and core values of Catholic education.
• Strong management and data analysis skills.
• Ability to formulate strategic plans and implement the same.
