Delivery Manager, Strategy

About this role...

In this role, you will report to the Vice President of Strategy and manag e the progress monitoring process necessary to execute on NWEA's strategic plan. Using the Deliverology™ rubric, as the Delivery Manager , you will review strategic initiatives with roadmap dependencies on a monthly basis to ensure forward progress and continued momentum. In addition, you will coordinate the bi-annual stocktake process for each strategic goal. To support shared understanding, you will be expected to document progress in writing so that it can be shared widely across the organization. Working collaboratively with the VP of Strategy, you will have responsibility for escalat ing obstacles and identif y potential solutions. Location: This position is located in our downtown Portland, OR. h eadquarters. Candidates should reside in the Portland metro area or be ready and willing to relocate.

Your next challenge...

  • Collaborate with Product Management, Product Engineering Strategic Initiative Leads and other teams to create monthly progress report for strategic initiatives with roadmap dependencies. This report will include an overall rating as well as evidence of implementation progress.
  • In partnership with the VP of Strategy, identify strategic initiatives that require intervention and/or support from the Executive Team. Celebrate success and suggest actions to alleviate roadblocks experienced in plan execution with stakeholders across the organization. Participate in monthly discussions with the Executive Team.
  • Manage the overall strategic plan review process where evidence is surfaced to view progress on each of NWEA's goals. This will include collecting/analyzing data, preparing PowerPoint decks, viewing rating spreadsheets, and generating task lists. This will also include ongoing communication with goal and initiative leads.
  • Deeply engage in problem-solving in strategic areas as needed.
  • Manage data collection for NWEA's strategic initiatives dashboard on a monthly basis, ensuring data is both accurate and updated regularly.
  • Manage deliverables NWEA has promised in philanthropic grants that support strategic goals and initiatives. Compile reports that highlight evidence and activities that send an accurate picture of progress to date on grant deliverables.
  • Research other philanthropic opportunities to support strategic initiatives within the plan. Provide occasional support to the writing on grant proposals and concept papers.
  • Manage content for the internal Strategy pages on NWEA's SharePoint site.
  • Seek opportunities to continuously improve all progress monitoring processes, finding ways to drive collaboration and efficiency.

Education and e xperience ...

  • Bachelor's degree in Business , Communications or similar discipline required; MBA or other advanced degree or equivalent work experience a plus. A n equivalent combination of three years' education and four years' experience will be considered in lieu of a degree .
  • Minimum three years of practical implementation experience with demonstrated results.
  • Project management experience a plus.
  • Strong preference for experience in the K-12 education and/or technology industry.
