Bachelor's degree; Iowa teaching license (appropriate endorsement code for subject area); knowledge of subject, curriculum, effective teaching methods; demonstrate effectiveness in oral and written communications; competency working in a culturally diverse environment or the willingness to acquire these skills; experience or willing to acquire skills: CMP 2 Math Curriculum with an inductive process for instruction; experience or willing to acquire skills: collaboration with colleagues in data teams and professional learning communities that drive influence/inform instruction and lesson planning; experience or willing to acquire skills: Multi-tiered systems of support to support students in an intervention model; experience or willing to acquire skills: Use of anchor charts, Math Talk Moves, and student discourse models; experience or willing to acquire skills: formative assessment practices, success criteria, learning intentions around core standards, and ability to make evidence driven instructional decisions; understand and show ownership of the Hoover Middle School vision of Influence the World, Serve Others; exhibit qualities of a team player; demonstrated success in the area of cultural competency, social justice, equity, and working with students from diverse backgrounds or willingness to acquire these skills; exhibits effective communication skills - talks with team members when there is a concern; effectively manages classroom and provides behavioral support; successful experience differentiating instruction for high and low achieving students; understands the importance a guaranteed and viable curriculum through consistent collaboration, grading, and assessment; excellent classroom management skills and ability to teach behavior; exhibit patience, tolerance, persistence, flexibility, organization, sense of humor, and enthusiasm for everyday challenges; excellent attendance and customer service approach to parents/students; comply with the eight Iowa Teaching Standards
