Position Title: Academic and Assessment Coordinator
FLSA Classification: Exempt
Reports to: Director of Curriculum – Regional and/or Principal
Position Description: Responsible for provision and implementation of curriculum for the school, as well as overseeing and implementing testing in compliance with required educational standards.

Essential Functions:
  • Provide teachers with ongoing training on appropriate curriculum instruction and testing methods.Models lessons on state standards, character education, student leadership, and classroom management.Coach teachers on academic interventions and best practice instruction.Accommodates students with special needs and provides documented interventions.Collaborate and clearly communicate with parents/guardians, and other educators to assist the students.Coordinate MTSS meetings.Work with Assistant Principal to implement in a fair and consistent manner, effective discipline and attendance systems that have high standards that are consistent with the philosophy, values and mission of the school.Creating opportunities to assist students who need extra support.Coordinates district, state and federal testing as required.Demonstrate an understanding of the Imagine Schools Six Measures of Excellence in the execution of duties.Model positive character virtues and habits. Assist students in developing positive moral and performance character attributes.Perform other duties as assigned by Principal/School Leader.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelors degree in Education.Licenses & Certifications: State certification and endorsement in assigned area.Experience: 2-3 years successful teaching experience.Knowledge, Ability & Skills: Possesses excellent oral and written skills as well as strong analytical, leadership, project management and organizational skills. Knowledge of applicable federal and state regulations and statutes. Ability to communicate cooperatively and constructively with other staff, students and parents in a multi-cultural environment. Ability to remain pleasant and helpful under sometimes-stressful circumstances.
