WORK SCHEDULE:
Work Schedule: 8:15 AM to 1:30 PM, Monday- Thursday, July 1, 2019- August 1, 2019. No school July 4 and 5, 2019.
Orientation, The day after the last day of the 2018/2019
school year, 8:30 AM to 1:15 PM; site TBD
Program Schedule: 8:30 AM to 1:15 PM, Monday-Thursday, July 1, 2019-August 1, 2019. No school July 4 and 5, 2019.
DUTIES:
Responsible to Head Teacher, Special Education Supervisor, and the Executive Director of Special Education and Related Services
Keep student attendance records and follow up with absenteeism
Provide timely information to families and students
Prevent regression through academic and/or gross motor and/or social skills instruction as outlined in the students' IEPs
Meet and instruct assigned classes in the locations and at times designate.
Assume responsibility for the office and clerical work associated with this Extended Year Program
Communicate student attendance and retention of skills during the Extended Year program to the students' 2019-2020 schools.
Feed, diaper, and assist with personal hygiene as needed.
Perform additional duties assigned by the Head Teacher of this summer program.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Presently employed as a Special Education, APE, or General Education teacher.
Understands the goals and requirements of the State Curriculum Frameworks andCommon Core as in the area of instruction.
Ability to accommodate, modify, and differentiate instructional content.
Preference given to National Board-Certified Teachers, Special Education Teachers for academic positions.
Availability required for entire program work schedule.
