About This Role...

As our Internal Communications and Programs manager , you will be responsible for leading and creating compelling communication strategies that inform, support, and connect audiences to our organizational vision, mission, and values . You will offer strategic guidance to internal stakeholders as well as developing and implementing impactful programs . You must be confident advising executive team members one day and working on logistics the next.

Your role will focus primarily on internal communications but will also develop and support communication programs that reach teachers. You will repor t to the Director of Engagement and Internal Communications as part of the Marketing team.
Your Next Challenge...

  • Develop strategies, programs and communications, alongside leadership, that inform and engage staff and build compelling connections to the work of NWEA.
  • Develop key content, communications and presentations in collaboration with content experts, in support of initiatives and programs.
  • Manage content and coordination of quarterly All Staff Meetings as well as a variety of internal programs.
  • Create, manage and oversee an organization wide staff calendar of events.
  • Develop a variety of mediums for communications in support of strategies (video, written, visual, events and others)
  • Act as editor for internal staff publications/intranet (Common Knowledge). Strategize, plan, edit and write content for a variety of internal communications angles.
  • Work with the Director to support strategic initiatives that drive awareness, preference and loyalty to NWEA from partners and market, as well as staff, through a variety of programs and targeted communications.
  • Working as part of the Engagement team, produce and drive effective and impactful strategies for partner communications, to create best in class partner experience and affinity for NWEA, with a special focus on the teacher audience.

Your Education and E xperience ...

  • Bachelor's degree required; equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered in lieu of a degree
  • Minimum 5 years' experience producing, implementing, and managing communications projects
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in program creation and execution
  • Minimum of 6 years of writing and/or project management experience
  • Proficiencies in using MS Office including Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook as well as proficiency with Internet Explorer
  • Previous Internal Communications experience preferred
  • Experience with video capture and editing programs a strong plus.
