Job Description Assistant Career and Technical Center Director

Stafford Technical Center is seeking a full time Assistant Career and Technical Center Director. The ideal candidate must be a dedicated and conscientious licensed administrator with a record of excellence in motivating staff and students to strive for excellence. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, school finance experience, supervision and evaluation experience, and the ability to work collaboratively with all constituents. Starting date is July 1, 2019.

Stafford Technical Center is a regional technical and career center located in Rutland, Vermont and is part of Rutland City Public Schools. Stafford Technical Center provides technical education to area high school students and adults. Students from high schools in Rutland County (Rutland, Fair Haven, Otter Valley, Proctor, Poultney, West Rutland, Mill River, and MSJ) may choose from fifteen different full day programs. Many of these technical programs have articulated agreements, transcripted credit and dual enrollment options with Vermont State Colleges, which allow students to earn college credits while at the Technical Center. Students are prepared for higher education and/or entry into business and industry.

Requirements for the position include: A Master's Degree, a valid Vermont Professional Educator's License, and an endorsement for the Career and Technical Center Director.

Position commences July 1, 2019. Candidates should submit a letter of interest/personal statement, an updated resume, transcripts, licensure and three current written references to be received no later than June 15, 2019.
