Responsible for imparting knowledge and skills to middle or high school students. The candidate will utilize research-based theories and strategies to teach, organize and implement structured lessons for topics that include management and business principles, computer literacy, personal finance, accounting, computer programming, webpage design, and coding. This position reports to the principal.
3DE OVERVIEW:
3DE's multifaceted approach to learning uses case methodology to integrate real-world connectivity into the standard high school experience. This universally effective approach to learning is the anchor for interdisciplinary pedagogy, relevant connectivity, and authentic project-based application that is delivered in every 3DE school. The result is a high school experience that reflects the dynamic pace of activity and interconnectedness of life beyond the classroom walls.
Through 3DE, students take all core classes and at least one common elective per semester/per year with 3DE teachers. Coursework is complemented by career readiness experiences including career-site visits, interacting with business coaches, and consultancy experiences. 3DE TEACHERS: A DAY IN THE LIFE
A "Day in the Life" of a 3DE Teacher is varied, but it may include the following:
Preparing or teaching a lesson plan that ties core subjects to a real-world business case challenge. Approximately three to four lessons per semester per core teacher, with 3DE support provided.

Participating in career site visits with students. Numbers vary from one per year to four per year depending on the school year and business partner.

Collaborating with the 3DE teacher team as part of 3DE weekly interdisciplinary common planning.

Orientation to a team-based approach among teachers, students, parents, 3DE, and other partners to support academic and non-academic student needs
Capacity to authentically infuse business connectivity into all aspects of learning - including business and core courses
Orientation to an interdisciplinary approach and capacity to teach through interdisciplinary strategies in a blended learning environment
Entrepreneurial mindset by willing to take risks and welcoming change. Orientation to innovation and overcoming obstacles. Generates ideas and thinks past boundaries

Requirements: Education: Bachelor's degree required.
Certification/License: Must hold a valid Georgia Professional Certification in Business Education at a T4 level or higher, or be eligible for certificate.
Work Experience: Previous teaching experience preferred, but not required.
Preference: Experience teaching web design and digital technology.
