Location: Juneau Community Charter School
Part-Time position 0.13 FTE (5 hours per week)

Position Summary: Previous experience and/or working knowledge of current educational research especially in the field of music education. Basic understanding and knowledge of current technology. Knowledge of learning styles and skill in using varied teaching methods to address student learning styles.

Previous experience desired working on a team in a professional learning community and team teaching, integrated content, project-based instruction, and authentic and performance-based assessments. This position requires excellent communication skills and flexibility, as well as the ability to implement team-established structures in addition to school-wide policies. The ability to integrate content and technology is highly desirable.
Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Music, or closely related subject.
• Valid Alaska teaching certificate, or the ability to get an Alaska teaching certificate upon hire.

Preferred Requirements:

• Master's degree in education desired.
• Recent experience teaching Band and/or Music.
