Essential Functions and Objectives:

Develops and supports standard processes and procedures in ownership of end-to-end event operations management for required and choice-based professional learning experiences to ensure an exceptional, cohesive learner experience. Curates and manages daily operations and continued development of the Professional Learning Catalog and Calendar to support clear communication of district professional learning offerings. Supports Central Departments by leading cross-functional Schoolnet Master Team to accurately manage attendance and award credit in Schoolnet.

- Manage end-to-end event planning and execution, assuming ownership for convening and leading event planning meetings and creating resources that establish responsibility and accountability that drive toward ensuring attendees have a positive experience.

- Manage all event logistics and provide support for large-scale district events including three Universals events, two School Leadership weeks, Teacher Leader Institute, and New Leader Induction.

- Provide support to departments hosting professional learning events including, but not limited to, locating event space, vendor negotiations, and simplified registration processes.

- Develop relationships and share professional learning event standards and other DPS-specific information with all external professional learning providers and manage the Independent Contractor Agreement Process, as needed.

- Partner with professional learning facilitators to customize and disseminate professional learning survey and collect results.

- Review professional learning catalog submissions to ensure the offerings clearly designate scope and sequence, map to career trajectory, are aligned to district-specified goals, areas of focus, and connected to teaching practice in support of advancing student learning, and do not conflict with district-sponsored events; resolve conflicts as needed.

- Maintain daily operations of the Professional Learning Catalog and Calendar to support clear communication of district professional learning offerings.

- Maintain registration systems and business owner relationship with Department of Technology Services (DoTs) including managing administrative permissions list, maintaining training materials, troubleshooting issues, fulfilling transcript requests, and bulk upload submissions for event attendance and credit.

- Respond to inquiries received in the Professional Learning team email inbox.

- Other duties as needed.

Knowledge, Experience & Other Qualifications:

- Proficiency with Google Applications required.

- Experience in the education industry preferred.

- Proficiency with online registration and tracking programs preferred (Learning Management Systems, Content Management Systems, etc.).

- Program management or project management experience preferred.

- Must have a current and valid driver\u2019s license .

- Demonstrated effective and diplomatic oral and written communication skills, with an emphasis on communications with teachers, principals, central office, and the community.

- Ability to work as a member of a team in a collaborative, influential capacity.

- Demonstrated experience resolving conflicts through diplomacy.

- Highly engaged, proactive, able to ask tough questions and challenge others in a non-disruptive way.

- Commitment to providing exceptional customer service.

- Set, track, and enforce deliverable deadlines, using proper escalation procedures when necessary.

- Strong attention to detail.

Education Requirements:

- High School diploma or GED required.

- Bachelor\u2019s degree preferred.
